Maurice Youth Ministries exist to nurture the youth of the church and community into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and equip them to be Christ-like servants with a lifestyle that honors and glorifies God.
Maurice 1st Reformed Church (MRC) provides several programs and opportunities for students in grades 6th through college to discover and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Students will experience Christ-centered gatherings that are made up of students of "like age" and adult volunteers who are passionate about serving and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others. The listing below is our current program offerings.
Jr. GAP (God's Awesome People)
Grades 6, 7 & 8. - The Jr. GAP meets every Wednesday from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the church’s Bus Barn.
Jr. GAP uses a variety of activities and events to encourage, nurture and equip students on their faith journey. Some of these include: small groups, outreach nights, youth conferences and retreats, lock-ins, service projects, evangelism training. Meetings include games and mixers, Bible lesson/topic discussion and lunch (provided by students). Some of our favorite events include our Traveling Lock-In, Super Bowl Party, Power Connection, Dare 2 Share, Middle School Retreat, leading a Youth Sunday Service in the evening, sub sandwich fundraiser, and the summer Paullina camp out.
Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12.
The Sr. RCYF meets every Wednesday from 7 –
8:30 p.m. in the MRC Youth Room.
The Sr. High of Maurice is designed to help foster students in their walk with Christ. We use discipleship, service, worship, and evangelism, to be able to do effective ministry. Our youth group is currently made up of students from eight different schools and from nine different towns. We are not your uncle’s youth group anymore! A typical Wednesday night consists of devotions, prayer, Bible study, interactive activity, small groups and sometimes a challenge/task to be completed later.
Fundraisers:
We run our weekly youth ministries from September through May. In the summer we meet weekly, but at different times. Our summer missions/work project trips are on a rotating basis.

TEC is an interdenominational spiritual retreat based on the "stations" of the cross and is designed to meet young people where they are at in their lives. MRC supports and encourages this ministry as many of our students have experienced and continue to work at these retreats. MRC will pay half the student’s application fee. For more information contact our Youth Pastor.

We are always open for ideas as well as challenges! We hope to see you
